A ‘Miss Bumbum’ model who famously bragged she had plastic surgery ‘like most people go shopping’ before being struck down with cervical cancer has vowed to continue having cosmetic ops until the end – because she wants to ‘die perfect’.

Brazilian Jessica Lopes was a finalist in the popular ‘best bottom’ competition and also took part in the UK reality show International Beauty Queens.

She was diagnosed with cancer in December and underwent surgery to remove a part of the tumour, but will only know her chances after another operation later this month.

Brave: Brazilian Miss Bumbum model Jessica Lopes told MailOnline how she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in December and had an operation to remove part of the tumour

Message: The beauty, 30, who famously bragged she had plastic surgery ‘like most people go shopping’ says she will go on having cosmetic surgery until the end because she wants to ‘die perfect’

Before and after: Brazilian Jessica, pictured right before and left after she shaved her head to raise awareness of her diagnosis for cervical cancer

But despite her illness, Jessica, 30, has continued to have cosmetic procedures during her cancer treatment and claimed not even the worst possible news will stop her.

I still have a long list of procedures I haven’t done yet. And I’m certainly not going to let dying stop me doing them
Miss Bumbum model Jessica Lopes

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, she said: ‘I fear the doctors aren’t telling me everything, that they are giving me the bad news in small doses.

‘But if they give me six months to live, it will only make me want to go for more plastic surgery.

‘I suppose when some people get told they will die, they go out and buy a boat or do something they always wanted. Well with me it’s getting my body as perfect as possible.

‘I still have a long list of procedures I haven’t done yet. And I’m certainly not going to let dying stop me doing them.’

The model still plans surgery to give her a slimmer waistline, another to achieve thinner ‘Angelina Jolie’ arms, injections to make her legs longer, a bichectomy to remove fat underneath her cheeks and thyroid cartilage reduction to reduce the Adam’s apple.

The most recent procedure was just two weeks ago, when she had surgery to implant a false chin to make her face longer and give her the desired 90 degree angle between her nose and neck.

Determined: The Miss Bumbum contestant said she wants operations to give her a slimmer waistline, achieve thinner ‘Angelina Jolie’ arms, injections to make her legs longer, a bichectomy to remove fat underneath her cheeks and thyroid cartilage reduction to reduce the Adam’s apple

Awareness: The Brazilian beauty chopped off her long blonde locks to raise awareness of her condition. She told MailOnline she has a long list of operations she wants done before she dies

Operation: The model said if doctors tell her she has only six months to live it will only make her more determined to have plastic surgery

She admits: ‘I deliberately didn’t tell the surgeon I had cancer, or that my doctor had prohibited me from having surgery because of my low immunity.

‘Going to the plastic surgeon makes me feel good. When some people have been ill they go and buy a pair of shoes to make them feel better, well for me it’s having a cosmetic procedure.

‘And if that harms anyone, it’s only going to be myself.’

But she revealed how her obsessive quest to look good despite her serious illness nearly did cost the model her life during Brazil’s carnival last month.

The model was due to take part in the procession in Sao Paulo with the Imperio da Casa Verde samba school.

She said: ‘I was desperate to take part in carnival and as I wouldn’t be wearing much my body needed to be in shape.

‘I got hold of prescription weight-loss medicines and started taking them, even though I was also taking antibiotics for the cancer.

‘I ended up collapsing and spending four days in intensive care, during which time I suffered a small heart attack.

‘But even that experience hasn’t stopped me. At the end of the day, what has cancer got to do with vanity? I’m not going to stop being vain just because I’ve got cancer. If anything it will make me want to ‘

Jessica, from Porto Alegre, southern Brazil, was a high school maths teacher before finding overnight fame after entering the national Miss Bumbum contest.

She said: ‘I was always an A-grade student, and I upset my dad when I changed my law degree for a maths one instead. I taught classes of teenagers aged 15 to 17.

‘But I was always glamorous and I suffered a lot of bullying, even from the other staff. I had the same qualifications as everyone else, but because of my looks many thought I shouldn’t have been there. They said I should be in Playboy, not in a classroom.

‘A headteacher once tried to come on to me, threatening to take some classes away from me if I didn’t go out for dinner with him.

‘So in the end I abandoned the profession and went and did what everyone had told me to do. It was a kind of rebellion, like, I’m going to be that person you think I am.

‘I’d always imagined myself being a great teacher. But I ended up liking being a model. People were pleased that you had turned up to work, which was never the case with a class of teenagers.’

After becoming the sexy mascot of Rio de Janeiro football team Vasco, Jessica applied for the first edition of the Miss Bumbum contest in 2011.

‘I’ve had everything done, including liposuction everywhere, even on my knee caps, three boob jobs, a nose job and my ears reduced. I’ve even had subcision surgery, where they use a needle to cut the fat away from under your buttocks and legs so your skin attaches back smoothly.’

Perfection: The most recent procedure was just two weeks ago, when she had surgery to implant a false chin to make her face longer and give her the desired 90 degree angle between her nose and neck

The competition propelled her to a national stage, but it was a year later when she was snapped changing her clothes inside a car in the car park of Sao Paulo’s airport and was dubbed the ‘Nude of Congonhas’ that she became a household name.

The same year she competed again for Miss Bumbum and this time was among the five women who received the most votes.

She went on to star in Brazilian reality shows, grace the covers of men’s magazines and earn millions as a glamour model.

Jessica was the best friend of another Miss Bumbum contestant, Andressa Urach, who made headlines in 2014 when she nearly died after botched hydrogel injections in her thighs began to rot her legs, sending her into to septic shock.

At the time Jessica, who once shared an apartment with Andressa, said the two women ‘would go to the plastic surgeon like most people go shopping.

I’ve had everything done, including liposuction everywhere, even on my knee caps, three boob jobs, a nose job and my ears reduced

‘Sometimes we would agree to do some procedure together, we were not afraid. We were slaves to beauty.’

But her friend’s ordeal did not persuade Jessica to rethink her obsession with cosmetic surgery.

She said: ‘It is a compulsion, and I know I don’t have an idea of limits. If some weeks passed by without having a procedure I actually began to miss that feeling of waking up after the anaesthetic, then the pain of the surgery. So I would find something else to do to my body.

‘I once asked the doctor if he could shave my bones to make my arms thinner.

‘I’ve had everything done, including liposuction everywhere, even on my knee caps, three boob jobs, a nose job and my ears reduced. I’ve even had subcision surgery, where they use a needle to cut the fat away from under your buttocks and legs so your skin attaches back smoothly.’

Earlier last year, however, after experiencing bleeding outside of her periods, Jessica decided to see a doctor who ordered test. Just days before Christmas, she was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer.

Jessica remembers how, ten years earlier, she had also sought a gynecologist who had found a ‘wound’ on her uterus, which she now understands was a pre-cancer sign.

Surgery: She didn’t tell the plastic surgeon of her condition, admitting: ‘I deliberately didn’t tell them I had cancer, or that my doctor had prohibited me from having surgery because of my low immunity’

Weight loss@ The model said she was so desperate to look perfect for carnival season she took slimming pills despite her condition. She added: ‘I ended up collapsing and spending four days in intensive care, during which time I suffered a small heart attack’

She says: ‘At the time I dismissed it and got on with my life. If I had been better informed, I would never have left it and things could be different today.

‘After I was told I had cancer I was at first so angry with that first doctor for not telling me the truth. I locked myself inside my house, cancelled all my plans. I thought my life was over.’

Jessica, who has a 15-year-old son, had surgery to remove a part of the tumour for a biopsy just before New Year.

She said: ‘It was the first time I was petrified about going for surgery. But then my dad rang and told me to treat it as if it was just one more cosmetic procedure. He said, ‘how many times have you gone for surgery by taxi and didn’t even tell us about it? Why should you be afraid this time?’

‘So that’s what I did. And then I decided to get on with my life and carry on working as normal, come what may.’

But Jessica, who will undergo another operation later this month to remove the rest of the cancer, fears doctors aren’t telling her the full story.

She says: ‘It seems they are breaking the news to me slowly. I’m afraid about what they might say to me after this next operation, that I will discover that things are worse than I thought.

‘So far they’ve warned my that I may not be able to have another baby, which is very upsetting.

‘I’ve always dreamed of having a daughter. And I’m still single, so how will I tell my future husband that we can’t have children? I have a plan B, though, my sister has offered to be a surrogate mother to my child, if it comes to that.

‘I would prefer that they tell me everything, I would rather have the whole reality in my head so I can administer it in my way. After all, it’s my life we’re talking about.’

And despite admitting she is as vain as she always was, Jessica says her cancer has made her see life differently.

She said: ‘I was leading the life I always wanted, trips abroad, glamour, money, only to suddenly realise all that no longer means anything. All I wanted was to feel the smell of my son, be close to my mum and dad.

‘This has already been a positive experience for me, it has taught me what matters most. Now I just need to get through this and survive.’

Jessica is also hoping her ordeal will help alert other women to the importance of having regular smear tests to catch cervical cancer before it is too late.

.Ambition: Jessica, from Porto Alegre, southern Brazil, was a high school maths teacher before finding overnight fame after entering the national Miss Bumbum contest. She gave up teaching because she was bullied by colleagues over her ‘Playboy Bunny’ looks

High hopes:  The blonde has spent time in London and took part in the UK reality show International Beauty Queens

Pal: Brazilian TV presenter Andressa Urach, a friend of Jessica Lopes, spent a month in intensive care after her leg fillers ‘rotted’ her muscles and triggered a life-threatening infection

She recently shaved her hair off to bring attention to the awareness-raising campaign.

But days later she underwent a hair transplant procedure to give her a another full head of blonde hair. And Jessica admits that, whatever the next weeks hold, nothing will stop her from going under the knife in the quest for perfection.

She says: ‘Why should I let cancer stop me from being beautiful? Why do I have to say goodbye to my vanity just because of what I’m going through. It’s who I am.

‘Even though I know I’m ill, when I look in the mirror and see myself looking good it makes me feel that maybe things are not so bad, that perhaps I can beat this.’
