If anyone is a fan of NBC’s The Office, they may have noticed the actress Melora Hardin’s character Jan undergo a noticeable change in the beginning of season 4. For those of you who might have missed it, her character reveals a sizable breast augmentation, and it incites quite a bit of gossip from her coworkers. So is this really a Melora Hardin boob job?

The question has surfaced in many of her interviews, and she has admitted the fact that a Melora Hardin boob job seems quite plausible in the face of such a revealing amount of cleavage shown on the show. Plausible as it may seem, she has denied all rumors of going under the knife, though she agreed that the character development it brought to Jan was simply brilliant. In some interviews she has said that the question was somewhat offensive to her, and that it was the costume and effects crew that worked some serious stage magic to bring out the Melora Hardin boob job.

She reflects on the D-cup sized push up bra that was skilfully applied to her costume in order for her breasts to appear larger, and noted that she was surprised at how much cleavage they managed to produce by just fitting her with a much larger bra. She also revealed that the bra was very uncomfortable and she looked forward to taking it off after every day of filming. Despite her denial, many fans are still on the fence about whether or not there was indeed a Melora Hardin boob job, but one thing we can be certain about is that her characters transformation sure was convincing. Whether or not Melora Hardin will undergo breast augmentation in the future is uncertain, only time will tell if we in fact will witness the real Melora Hardin boob job.
