Later, she was stripped of her Miss California USA crown for alleged breaches of contract. She has worked as a model for Saks Fifth Avenue, Target, Bloomingdale’s, and Nordstrom. Prejean released her memoir, Still Standing: The Untold Story of My Fight Against Gossip, Hate, and Political Attacks in November 2009. Born Caroline Michelle Prejean on May 13, 1987 in San Diego, California, to parents Francine and Wilbert Prejean, she is of French descent on her father’s side, and of Italian descent on her mother’s side. She grew up in an evangelical Christian household in Vista, California. She graduated from Vista High School in 2005. She studied in an evangelical private school located in El Cajon, California. She has been married to former NFL quarterback Kyle Boller since July 2, 2010. They have two children: Grace and Brody.
